Thursday, July 29, 2010

TRANSPORT Minister Mike Henry this morning signed a $19.9 million contract for the construction of air traffic control towers at the Norman Manley and Sangster International airports.

The contract was signed with representatives from Intelecan Techno systems, an organisation which was recommended by the Canadian government through the procurement process.

The signing took place at the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority Conference Room in St Andrew.

Henry said the construction of the two towers is in keeping with Government's plan to further expand the aviation industry.
