JAMAICA's emerging sprinter Yohan Blake, got the better of the USA's Justin Gatlin handing him his first defeat since his return from a four-year doping ban at today’s Palio della Quercia meet in Rovereto.
Blake posted a winning time of 10.06 seconds to take the race.
Gatlin was second in 10.09.
The B section of the men’s 100 metres was won by former schoolboy star Remaldo Rose in 10.46 seconds. Rose got to the line just ahead of countryman Ramone McKenzie, who posted a time of 10.47 seconds.
