Cop arrested in botched kidnap/robbery attempt

A police constable has been arrested and is now being interviewed by investigators from the St James Police Division following a botched kidnap/robbery attempt yesterday.

The constable was arrested minutes after the kidnap/robbery attempt in Catherine Hall, St James.

Another member of the constabulary, Detective Constable Derron Nish, who was listed as a major person of interest, was nabbed this morning.

Nish was picked up at an apartment complex in the Corporate Area and is now being questioned by detectives from the Organized Crime Investigation Division.
