Digicel on board for ‘treasured’ moments with Bacchanal patrons

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Telecommunications giant Digicel is on board with Bacchanal Carnival for the ninth year and promises to help the organisers pull out all the stops to create 10 weeks of 'treasured' moments for Bacchanal patrons under the theme 'Bacchanal Treasures'.

During the launch, held at the Knutsford Court Hotel last Wednesday, Digicel's newly appointed head of marketing, Donovan White, expressed that, "Bacchanal Jamaica strives to improve upon the carnival experience and Digicel is proud to be a part of each historical experience that this event brings to Jamaica."

Since its launch in Jamaica in 2001, Digicel has identified with several music forms through its sponsorship of Reggae Sumfest, Genesis, Digicel Rising Stars and carnival. "Our sponsorship of Bacchanal not only allows us to align our brand with one of Jamaica's most anticipated and valued entertainment properties, it also allows us continue to deliver value to our customers through exciting giveaways weekly and phone sale for the ten weeks of Bacchanal," added White.

Shelly-Ann Curran, senior sponsorship manager at Digicel supported White's comments and added that, "Digicel night on March 19 will also have patrons jumping to the bigger, better beat of some of soca's most notable performers under the theme, 'Treasures of Kashmir'.
