The Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force Steel Band brought the spirit of that twin-island republic to last weekend's staging of the Military Tattoo at Up Park Camp in St Andrew.
The steel band offered music which included the works of Trinidad's The Mighty Sparrow and others, much to the appreciation and delight of the audience which streamed into the military base for the four-night presentation. The bands on show included The Canadian Pipes and Drums, The Bermudian Regiment Band, The Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, and the local mass band which featured the Jamaica Military Band, Jamaica Regiment Band as well as the bands of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the Island Special Constabulary Force.
