Knife fight lands cop in hospital, wife in jail

A policeman from the Motorised Patrol Division was stabbed during a fight with his 33-year-old common-law wife at the Lebanon Housing Scheme, Islington, St Mary, last night.
Police reports are that about 6:30 pm, the couple was at home when a dispute developed. During the fight the couple reportedly exchanged slashes.
They were both taken to hospital where the policeman underwent surgery. The common-law wife was taken into custody.
Detectives from the Port Maria Police who are investigating, say the service vehicle that was driven by the cop was extensively damaged by the woman in the incident.
