High above the University of the West Indies, Mona, Mr and Miss Law hopefuls -- comprising of mostly freshman students of the Faculty of Law -- strutted their stuff on Thursday in predominantly local designs to the elation of their fellow students who came out to cheer on their favourites, on the roof of the faculty building. The annual fashion show is mounted by a committee of law student peers and represents one of several events to commemorate The Faculty of Law UWI Mona Law Week, which officially starts on Monday, February 17 and will see these male and female contestants competing in other activities to become the aforementioned title holders. Proceeds from the fashion show is channelled into the Mona Law Society, which provides financial grants for needy law students. Saturday Social sat front row and features highlights.
