Mob justice claims one; cop injured

OMAR Levy of Greendale District, Manchester, who was wanted by the Christiana Police in a case of shooting with intent, was chopped to death by a mob at Bronty District, Christiana, in the parish last night.
A policeman was also injured in the incident.
Police reports are that about 7:55 pm, cops saw Levy in the area, but he managed to elude them. Residents went in search of him and inflicted their own vigilante justice. The police got wind that the man was being mobbed and went to the area. While trying to rescue Levy, one of the police officers was injured. Both the policeman and Levy were taken to the hospital where Levy succumbed to his injuries and the officer was treated and released.
Investigations continue.
