THE new Regional Headquarters of the University of the West Indies (UWI) — that gorgeous glassencased edifice opposite UWI's main gate — is home to the fine arts exhibition Season of Renewal which opened last Thursday evening.

Showcasing the work of 44 master artists from Trinidad and Tobago, and some 68 pieces ranging from sculpture and ceramics to video and photography, the exhibition is the largest and most comprehensive to come from Trinidad and Tobago to Jamaica. The exhibition marks one of the premier events on the High Commission’s calendar of events for the 50th anniversary of Independence of both Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. We share scenes from the exhibition's opening.
