Nadine's New Look

Get the Look

Saturday, September 04, 2010

Singer-cum-Digicel Rising Stars judge Nadine Sutherland has upped her style game and it's impossible to ignore.

Ditching her trademark braids for a pixie cut à la Chic Lines stylist Melody Aarons, Sutherland recently added lots more edge when she opted for honey blond highlights -- following our chat — as seen on Sunday's episode of Rising Stars.

There is, too, that glow... no signs of dreaded crow's feet or under-eye puffiness that once defied even the most adept make-up artists.

What gives newfound happiness, less stress or a plastic surgeon designed by the gods?

None of the above, says the Cougar singer.

"I've done nothing...there's no scar at my temples, no big secret" she says laughing as she uses her fingers to stretch the skin near her ears for emphasis.

Instead, she praises her dermatologist Dr Patricia Dunwell for having put her on a steady plan, which includes lots of Vitamin C, Retin-A, eating grease-free foods and getting lots of sleep.

"Along with that, a good exercise routine keeps my skin supple and healthy."

For her hair, she trusted Melody to give her a cleaner cut and play up her features, high cheekbones and rounded eyes.

"It a flexible hairstyle in that it gives me options...I'll add a (hair) piece for TV just in case I want a bang or to make the sides longer."
