Dear Editor,

I, too, share your cynicism regarding the outcome of an "investigation" into the complaints of former patients of Victoria Jubilee Hospital.

As Glen Tucker pointed out, a previous "exposé" years ago yielded absolutely no positive response.

In this independent country of ours, no local criticism is countenanced. However, if the complainant is void of melanin, or speaks with an accent, then immediate corrective action is taken.

Notwithstanding that truism, let me congratulate Mr Tucker for reminding us of our civic duty of protesting against abominable treatment of our fellow citizens.

Dr Paul Wright
