RBTT Bank Jamaica Limited today announced that after a thorough strategic review of its business it will be closing three branches within the next six months.
The branches affected are Fairview in Montego Bay; Port Antonio in Portland and Southfield in St Elizabeth.
“We continually fine tune our strategy to address shifts in market demand, changes in consumer behaviour, and to improve our overall efficiency and deliver value to our clients and business partners,” said Minna Israel, president and country head, RBTT Bank Jamaica Limited.
Moving forward, RBTT’s distribution strength and customer service in Jamaica will be supported by 17 branches and 42 ATMs across the country, the bank said.
“We are committed to ensuring that all our clients’ accounts are relocated efficiently and in a timely manner,” stated Israel. “We will continue to work with our clients through our branch network to ensure we deliver value to them.”
Israel also noted that the RBTT is in consultation with the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union and will honour all existing collective agreements to ensure that employees are treated fairly and with respect throughout this process.
“RBTT Bank Jamaica remains committed to our clients, employees and key stakeholders in Jamaica, as we build our long term strategy as a willing corporate partner in the growth and development of Jamaica,” said Israel.
RBTT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada.
