KINGSTON, Jamaica — The US Embassy in Kingston has thanked Jamaica for its support after a gunman killed fifty-nine people and injured about five hundred others at a country music concert in Las Vegas on Sunday.

“The Embassy of the United States of America sincerely thanks the Government and people of Jamaica for their outpouring of condolences to the victims and their families and those who have been injured in the tragic mass shooting in Las Vegas last Sunday. We thank you for standing with us through this time of tragedy and great sorrow,” the US embassy stated in a release this morning.
