A soldier carry uprooted marijuana plants for destruction following a raid of a clandestine plantation Wednesday at La Union province in northern Philippines. Authorities allegedly uprooted and burned some 499, 000 fully grown marijuana plants and destroyed 88,000 of its seedlings in the three-day operation with an estimated market value of the haul to be US$2.26 million.
