West Indies win tour match led by Gayle century

CANBERRA, Australia – West Indies, led by captain Chris Gayle who scored 146, comfortably won their one day match against a Prime Minister's XI by 91 runs in a rain reduced match at the Manuka Oval here today.

Batting first the West Indies posted a dominant 399 off their allotted 45 overs with Gayle receiving strong support from Travis Dowlin with 72 and Lendl Simmons, 70 not out.

In reply the Australians managed 312-7 with the standout performer being Tom Cooper, who like Gayle opened the batting, and posted an impressive 160 not out. Copper shared the man of the match award with Gayle.
