Dr Kasan Troupe (left), director of Regional Educational Services in the Ministry of Education, chats with Marva Christian (right), co-founder and director of Cari-Med Limited, and Kerri Miller-McDonald, senior HR manager at Cari-Med. They were attending a function at the company's offices on August 16 to recognise children of staff members who were beneficiaries of the manager-sponsored high school education assistance programme. Dr Troupe, who was the guest speaker, drew on her early experiences growing up in the inner city to assure the awardees that present circumstances do not dictate future achievement.
