SAN ANTONIO, Texas — El Salvador lead Jamaica 1-0 at the half time break in their Group C CONCACAF Gold Cup Tournament game here inside Alamodome.

Striker Nelson Bonilla connected on a pass from Ruben Marroquin on the quarter hour mark to give his team the lead, the first goal the Jamaicans were conceding at the tournament.

Jamaica have already qualified for the quarter-finals but need at least a draw to guarantee one of two automatic berths.

A loss would condemn them to third place in the group, and a trip to face hosts the United States of America at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.

A victory or a draw would place the Jamaicans at the University of Phoenix in Arizona on Thursday.
