There is indeed a formula for a healthy relationship and once you master it, your union will flourish. What's the formula?

1. Communication. You have to make it a priority to communicate and do so with a high degree of love and respect. Learn to say what you want and what you're asking for. Your partner cannot read your mind, you have to talk and have the tough conversations. When there is an argument, avoid avoidance. Learn to confront issues and never leave arguments open. Always find solutions to ensure the same argument doesn't repeat itself.

2. Please your lover. Sex is extremely important as it brings you and your lover closer together. But it can go sour if you are unaware of your partner's intimate needs and desires. If both parties are on different pages, it opens the door to infidelity and possibly failure. There must be a middle ground on which both parties can engage intimately in pleasing each other.

3. Have respect for each other. If you imprison or try to enslave your partner to you, they will eventually run from you. You have to be respectful of your partner and their individual life even if you are married. Ladies, avoid hacking your man's phone, searching his clothes, and his apartment. Gentlemen, avoid stalking your woman and bugging her phone to listen to her conversations. There must be boundaries in all things.
