From insecurity, confidence
Insecurity stifles true happiness and can suspend growth. How can you transform your insecurities into confidence?
Hang around confident people
Spending time around people who are confident will rub off on you. The opposite is also true – if you hang around those who are insecure, your actions will reflect accordingly.
Know your weaknesses
Spend time alone and write down your weaknesses and what triggers your insecurities. Understanding what they are and what triggers them is a good way to control them and rid yourself of them.
Become vulnerable
Author Brené Brown says it best – you have to become vulnerable to truly experience love. It is when you face what makes you insecure that you can heal from it.
Become emotionally intelligent
Understand and acknowledge how you feel, but before you blurt it out, think about how you feel and if it makes sense to feel how you feel. Sometimes it is how a situation is perceived that forces us to act out of character.
Invest in loving yourself
Instead of focusing on your partner 24/7, give some of that attention to you. Do something you like to do – go out with your own friends, take a vacation alone, do something for you.
