Men do not always say what they want, but just like women in relationships, they have needs that are based on the emotional.

Below are five things men shared that they desire from their wives.

A man wants his wife to support his dreams. It also takes more than words to show support; it requires you helping him achieve what he wants.

Many times women assume that their husbands know how they feel about them, but you need to say it nonetheless. Flirt with your man, compliment your man, kiss him, play with him and make him feel wanted and loved. Affection is necessary for a marriage to thrive.

A man thinks and operates differently than a woman. A woman will have a terrible day at work and she wants to come home and vent about it while a man would rather not talk, but eat and go to sleep. It doesn't mean he is insensitive or that he doesn't love her – he just needs space to process what took place before he shares it.

You have to know when and how to communicate certain things. You don't name call your man in front or behind his back, for example, as it is demeaning and disrespectful. Give the same respect you desire.

A man wants his wife to trust his word even when it makes no sense to her. Trust is necessary for a healthy relationship.
