KIA unveils new models on Wednesday

Friday, June 22, 2012

KIA Motors Jamaica is gearing up to unveil its new models next Wednesday at its Chelsea Avenue headquarters in St Andrew.

The company, which says it's looking to dispel perceptions about its brand that currently prevails in the marketplace, is also preparing for a "busy summer".

Newly appointed vice-president of marketing and sales, Ian Lyn, said that KIA is positioned for sustained growth and will be "aggressively" targeting the car buying public to have the brand become a household name.

"Currently KIA is doing ok, but there is room for growth. We still get people gawking in disbelief at our new models, and how much the KIA brand has changed since it was first introduced in Jamaica. Globally, KIA is the second largest automobile maker and just in March this year recorded a 19.4 per cent increase in overseas sales. So we know that more and more people are buying KIA vehicles, and it is time to bring that trend to Jamaica," Lyn said.

Lyn shared that KIA will be unveiling its new Optima, Cerato, Sorrento and Sportage.
