THE National Drag Racing Circuit (NDRC) will close out their 2013 season at Vernamfield in Clarendon on Sunday.

Fan favourite George 'Osama' Bayley is scheduled to make a return to the sport at the finale event.

"George is still the four-cylinder record holder at NDRC Vernamfield events," Christopher Elliott, NDRC executive, told Auto.

Bayley has long been a drag racing staple in his Lancer Evolution nicknamed 'Osama' before he made the transition to circuit racing. Fans will want to see if he is still as fast in a straight line as he is around corners.

Also in on the day's action is Adrian McLymont who will most likely try to best his 8.9 second quarter-mile run made at last Sunday's NDRC Test and Tune session.

The NDRC is expecting another bumper event, given that drag racing is still on the minds of many due to the other big event last week in Westmoreland.

"Our focus right now is to continue the development of what is essentially a grassroots motorsport," said Elliott.
