In the wake of “Wakanda Forever” fever and a swell of black pride driven by King T'Challa and the rest of Marvel Studio's Black Panther mega hit, Palace Amusement saw its stock price surge by 154 per cent.

According to investment guru John Jackson, “ Black Panther mash up Palace bottom line with a huge increase in profit that pushed to stock to number one for 2018 in the main market.”

It cost US$200 million to make the movie and, according to Forbes magazine, Black Panther has grossed in excess of US$1.275 billion worldwide and is the 10th highest-grossing movie in history.

In North America alone, Black Panther came in as the fifth highest-grossing movie of all time. And it will replace Titanic as the third-highest grossing film in history at the domestic box office, behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avatar.
