Honey Bun takes JSE Best Practices Awards again

Honey Bun 1982 Limited last month took three awards in the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) 2017 Best Practices Awards, one of which the company was winning for the sixth-consecutive year.

A release from the baked goods company's publicists said that in addition to winning the Governor General's Overall Best Junior Market Company Award, Honey Bun received the Best Practices Award for Corporate Disclosure and Investor Relations for the sixth year in a row; and the Private Sector Organisation's Certificate for Corporate Governance for the second consecutive year.

Honey Bun has been recognised for its overall performance for the fourth time in five years since listing on the junior market in 2011.

Since 2004, the JSE Best Practices Awards has recognised listed companies and stockbrokers in the securities industry that uphold best practices standards, recognise listed companies and stockbrokers in the securities industry that uphold best practices standards, and rewards awareness of the standards for best practices in the areas to be adjudged.

Honey Bun is an independent bakery that was founded by Herbert and Michelle Chong, who act as chairman and CEO respectively.

The company has expanded its offering of baked goods to include doughnuts, breads, buns, cheese breads, raisin buns, cinnamon rolls, and Goldie cakes.
