SSL Growth Equity Limited, formerly Stocks and Securities (Barbados) Ltd, has purchased a stake in Island Pizza Holdings Ltd in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

The entity is the operator of the Papa John's franchise in Cayman and currently has two locations, on 7 Mile Beach and Grand Harbour and is planning on expanding to three locations in 2019.

The company is also eyeing a kiosk in proximity to the cruise ship passenger boarding facilities to take advantage of the tourism market.

According to SSL, the investment is held in a special purpose vehicle named SSL Capital (Cayman) Ltd and is being managed by Osvaldo Sazo who has been instrumental in the build-out of various Papa John's markets across Latin America.

Sazo is the company's regional manager and is leading the charge in seeking a regional expansion for SSL Capital (Cayman) Limited into potential Northern Caribbean markets for Papa John's franchises, where available.
