Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) has announced that Hardware and Lumber Limited (H&L) is now an authorised reseller of ATL's Prizm brand of air conditioners.

The deal between the two retail giants will make the Prizm line of air conditioners, much more accessible to Jamaicans as temperatures continue to soar.

Under the partnership, H&L Rapid True Value will also be an authorised reseller of Prizm generators.

The partnership started with H&L Rapid True Value locations in Mandeville and Ocho Rios and will eventually include H&L Rapid True Value outlets in Portmore and Montego Bay.

“ATL is built on service, and this partnership speaks volumes to an aspect of service that we have identified as a key factor — accessibility,” ATL Managing Director Danville Walker is quoted in a company news release.

“We have showrooms in Kingston, Ocho Rios, and Bogue (Montego Bay) so this partnership with Hardware & Lumber to bring our Prizm air conditioners to their Rapid True Value locations will be beneficial to our new and existing customers, especially those outside of areas where our showrooms are located,” Walker added after signing the deal with Lloyd Distant, chief executive officer for Hardware & Lumber Limited.

Distant also expressed his approval of the partnership, saying “Hardware and Lumber is Jamaica's leading provider of home improvement and construction products and offerings, so we believe the Prizm line of air conditioners is the perfect fit for our Rapid True Value outlets,” Distant said.

“Contractors and home owners alike will be able to access Prizm air conditioners for their home improvement and development needs. Rapid True Value will also be carrying the Prizm line of generators, again, in line with our mandate of being the leaders in home improvement,” he added.

As part of the partnership, customers who buy Prizm air conditioners and generators from H&L Rapid True Value locations will also have the usual ATL warranty extended to them.
