MONTEGO BAY, St James — President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davon Crump has resigned as western region area manager for distributor Chas E Ramson Limited to run his own business.

Crump, who held the position for almost six years, will in December move to Global Outsourcing Solutions Limited, the call centre in the Montego Freezone that he established in February and where he serves as is managing director.

At Ramson, Crump was responsible for significant increase in gross sales of the company's products — which range from Amy's Organic Soups to Zatarain's New Orleans-style sauces — and a broadening of its customer base in the region.

He thanked the company's managing director, John Ramson, for his guidance over the years and support of his professional endeavours, especially as president of the Montego Bay chamber.

Crump will now focus on positioning Global as a player in Jamaica's ICT (information and communications technology) industry.
