HARDWARE and Lumber's (H&L's) CEO Andrea Coy is heading to GraceKennedy to head up its food division's global category management.

She will take up the senior general manager position effective March 1, according to a press statement issued by the conglomerate last week.

Donna Doran, current H&L chief financial officer, will assume the position of Acting CEO of H&L, while Johnathan Ruddock, Financial Accountant, will function as Acting Chief Financial Officer of the company, which operates Rapid True Value and Agro Grace.

"Mrs Coy has done a tremendous job at H&L. She worked in tandem with the team to effect very positive changes," said H&L Chairman Erwin Burton. "As CFO, Ms Doran was an integral part of that team and was very instrumental in the determination and implementation of the strategies that accounted for H&L's turnaround".

Coy was appointed CEO of H&L in April of 2012 for a period of two years.

"Mrs Coy has done a tremendous job with H&L and has focused on not only the growth of the business but also on the strengthening of the management team of the company," said Don Wehby, CEO of GraceKennedy Group. "As she returns to the Foods Division within the GraceKennedy Group, we thank her for her outstanding contribution.

"We know her experience will serve us well as we seek to attain our goal of becoming a Global Consumer Group. I am confident that Ms Doran will keep going the momentum that has been built, and continue to steadily grow the company."

Prior to joining the team at H&L in May 2012, Doran worked at Red Stripe for twelve years, occupying leadership positions in finance.

While there, she received recognition for successful SAP implementation and upgrades, as well as improving organisational capability.

More recently she worked at the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) as deputy general manager - finance, treasury & investments for approximately eighteen months. A chartered accountant, Doran holds an MBA from the Manchester Business School, UK.

Ruddock spent thirteen years with Grace Food Processors (Canning), and four years with GraceKennedy's Central Finance Unit as the Accountant, prior to his transfer to H&L as the Financial Accountant in 2010.
