SCOTIABANK Jamaica has been named by Global Finance magazine as one of 23 "Best Emerging Market Banks in Latin America" in an exclusive survey to be published in the May 2011 issue.

"We are excited to receive this award which acknowledges our ongoing commitment to our customers and communities across Jamaica," said Bruce Bowen, president and CEO, in a press release on Friday.

"This recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work and commitment of our employees to meet the needs of our customers and run a successful and sustainable business," he added

Global Finance editors with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants selected the best emerging market bank in the region and in 23 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
