Dear Editor,

In recent weeks we have seen drivers with over 1,000 tickets taken to court and charged paltry sums for their mountain of outstanding traffic tickets and fines.

Most recently, a driver with over 500 tickets was charged only $34,000 — an average of about $68 per ticket.

The clear message from our traffic courts is: Don't pay your traffic tickets! Make them accumulate as much as possible. After a few years, a warrant will be issued for your arrest. You will attend court and the judge will give you up to 90 per cent off the face value of your accumulated tickets.

Only in Jamaica!

Fed Up!
