'Isaac' douses Good Times
BY BRIDGETTE REID Observer writer
Tuesday, August 28, 2012
THOUGH the watch was lifted on Tropical Storm Isaac on Saturday, it was not playing by the rules.
The rains associated with the storm forced the postponement of Heineken Good Times: House Party at the New Mas Camp, Stadium East in St Andrew.
The new date for the premium retro party is Saturday, September 1.
According to Jerome Hamilton, executive member of The Quorum, all tickets purchased for the August 25 event are still valid for the next staging.
This was the third staging of the event since the start of the year. The other two being in February and May.
Despite the postponement, Hamilton was upbeat about the September 1 staging.
"I am looking forward to this staging of Heineken Good Times at its new venue at the Stadium, with all its perks, such as space, secure parking and added security," Hamilton told the Jamaica Observer.
He said patrons can expect the same quality music and the high standards that Good Times offers.
Retro games such as Donkey Kong and Space Invaders.
Part proceeds from the event will go towards the Children's Ward at the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre (formerly the Mona Rehabilitation Centre).
The Quorum has been staging the event since 1996 which allows patrons to enjoy songs from yesteryear in safe environment.
