ROLLING Stones guitarist Keith Richards is part of an all-star cast recording a tribute album to reggae legend Bob Marley.

American contemporary blues guitarist/singer Keb' Mo' and reggae singer Sherieta Lewis are also part of the charity project, scheduled for release in June.

The album -- according to contactmusic.com -- also features songs from Latino rock band Los Lobos, reggae great Toots Hibbert and respected blues guitarist Taj Mahal.

Richards has a long association with Jamaican music. The 'Stones' flirted with reggae in the early 1970s and recorded at Dynamic Sounds in Kingston during that period.

He also established a friendship with reggae singers Peter Tosh and Justin Hines (of the Dominoes fame). Tosh was briefly signed to Rolling Stones Records, while Richards produced a series of albums by Hines and a group of Rastafarians from Steer Town known as Wingless Angels.
