If you saw tears rolling down patrons face at the Quarry, off Bustamante Highway in Clarendon, then the culprits would have been the comedians on the Ity and Fancy Cat Show road tour.

Patrons laughed so hard on Saturday night, that some actually complained of having hurting tummies!

"A whey dem two eediat yah come from man!" one male exclaimed after the duo took to the stage with their "it's gonna take a miracle" jokes.

Following MC Dwight Ross' introduction, Ity and Fancy Cat came on with a burst of energy and then the 'almshouse' began.

"Vybz Kartel if yuh tink yuh a go wake up one mawning and find yuhself black again...it's gonna take a miracle!" they declared, with the assistance of the crowd who heartily caught on to this tagline.

The duo took jabs at the newly formed political party, the odds of Merlene Ottey beating Veronica Campbell-Brown, Macka Diamond faring better than Yendi in the recently held Miss Universe beauty pageant.

After having the crowd in hysterics Ity and Fancy made way for Dr Michael Abrahams whose 'deadpan' facial expression belied the humour he was dishing out. His 'address to the nation' and 'new national anthem' were hilarious.

Granny P was next. She was sharp, witty and had no mercy for 'loving paupers'. Granny P made mincemeat of this theory before sending the crowd into hysterics with her complaints about an uptown restaurant.

"When yuh hungry and guh a dem posh restaurant, dem serve yuh water first...and mi and yuh know seh hungry and water nuh gree...den dem bring out likkle wash..." by the time Granny P was through her restaurant drama many were banging the chairs and others could be seen doubling over in their seats.

Leighton Smith was a hit with his primary versus high school teacher's story. He was not short on humour as he dramatically acted out the difference. In between laughter some patrons could be heard saying, "yuh know sey a true him a talk. A same way suh dem gwaan fi real!"

Rozah Rose connected with his amusing songs about the state of the economy. Dancing Granny stepped up 'her' performance a notch engaging the crowd with 'her' antics. The comical dancer had more than a few surprises in store and for those who were expecting 'the same old routine' they were in for a pleasant, but hilarious surprise.

Ity and Fancy Cat were back on stage and it more ' at some of the popular personalities.

"Mi upset with Yendi, yuh know why, she shouldn't come second. Complained Ity, egged on by his performing partner, he vented. Asafa used to run second behind Gay, and it rub off on Yendi...she should be with Usain!"

Needless to say this 'done the place.'

When the curtains closed on the first of several road shows planned across the island at near midnight, it was to a totally satisfied audience which left the venue.
