LOVERS rock singer Benjy Myaz is the featured act at this evening's 'The Essence of Benjy Myaz' show at the Redbones Blues Cafe, starting at 10:00 pm.
Myaz, best known for songs like Love You Higher, Show You Love and Long Story Short, will be supported by singer K'Von.
Born in St James, Myaz broke into the north coast music scene as a musician in the late 1980s, playing bass in several bands. He later joined Jimmy Cliff's band and broke through as a singer in the mid-1990s with a cover of smooth jazz singer Randy Crawford's Love You Higher.
He had follow-up hits with Conversation (also recorded by Third World), Show You Love and the A J Brown original, Love You Fancy.
