Singjay Booba Star looks hit-bound with his latest single, the autobiographical

The 28-year-old was born Dane Salmon and grew up in Greater Portmore. His interest in music developed while attending Kingston College.

"I used to write poems and songs in high school and I would often entertain my family and friends by performing for them," Booba Starr recalled.

He developed his live skills on the Hard Drive sound system and in 2010 was introduced to Trevor 'TC' Clarke, owner of Jafrika Records, who produced his first single Things Change.

Subsequent releases by Booba Starr include Roll Out on The Bomb Weh 'riddim'
co-produced by Dimmie Joe Muzik and G5 Entertainment; and Prison Neva Mek fi Dawg and From Dusk 'Till Dawn for Sweat Boxx Productions.
