Cruise control at Bleu pool party

Rory Daley

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

The Caribbean's Ultimate Pool Party — part of Bleu's weekend parties Sunday at the Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios — lived up to its billing thanks to an energetic performance from DJ Cruise.

A section of the hotel's large swimming pool was cordoned and by mid-afternoon it was filled with swimwear-clad party-goers.

The star of the show was DJ Cruise. Unlike the Bleu Beach Party the previous afternoon, where he shared duties with two other DJs and was lead-in for soca star KES, Cruise had things all to himself.

While he briefly shared musical chairs with Trinidad and Tobago's J-Lava, Cruise took over and had the crowd rocking as he reeled off hit after hit in a masterful set of mixes.

The energy level never dipped even with the sudden late evening rain which drove the party into a frenzy.

Fans formed a huge conga line in the water and Cruise milked it for all it was worth into the late north coast night.
