Reggae singer D Major has a potential hit in his latest single, a cover of John Lennon's Woman.

"I always liked this song and how emotional Lennon sounded when he sang it. I am a big fan of John Lennon and the Beatles so covering the song was truly an honour," D Major explained.

D Major's Woman is produced by Donovan Germain and is released on the Penthouse label.

A former member of the group QT, the singer appeared on the hit Real Friends which featured Christopher Martin and Assassin two years ago.

In 2010 when he recorded Party Like it's Your Birthday with Busy Signal and Richie Loop that track soared to the top of local charts.

DID YOU KNOW?

Sad news that Don Cornelius allegedly committed suicide this week in Los Angeles. The smooth-talking Cornelius was creator, host and producer ofthe long-running American television series Soul Train. But did you know that he and his business partner Dick Griffey launched a record label in 1975 called Soul Train Records?

The label was home to the Soul Train Gang, the Whispers, Carrie Lucas, Shalamar and a group called Sunbear. After a disagreement, Cornelius left the label, and Griffey renamed it Solar Records.
