UP-AND-COMING singjay Flash Raggedy said he is pleased with the growth of his music career since making his debutin 2005.

According to the entertainer, whose real name is Miguel Beckford, his recently released single Dem Nu Real has been receiving favourable responses.

The track was produced and distributed by TMD Records.

"It's a song that everyone can relate to. It speaks about pretentious persons around you, who seem to wish you well but really want to see you fail. Also, it has a catchy chorus with an upbeat riddim," the 25-year-old said.

Apart from his releases, 'Flash' is also excited about his mixtape Real Link which is expected to be released on Monday.

"This compilation contains hard-hitting songs as well as something for the ladies. It speaks about dreams and aspirations as well as social issues. It demonstrates my versatility as well as my ability to create beautiful and entertaining songs," said 'Flash', who hails from tough, inner-city community of Rockfort in east Kingston.

"My aim is to do lasting inspirational music. I want everyone from the toddler to the senior citizen to be able to dance to my songs. Therefore, we as artistes, should do our best to keep our musical flag high," he said.

Flash Raggedy also has tracks I Have A Dream and Lyrically Inclined to his credit
