French ballet company at the Little Theatre tomorrow

Artistic Expressions, a group concerned with promoting the growth of the arts, hosts the Ballet Jazz Rick Adams Company, based in Paris, France, alongside the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica for a performance at the Little Theatre tomorrow evening.

The event which starts at 7:00pm, in being held in the spirit of cultural exchange and global bridge building

The Ballet Jazz Rick Adams Company led by Artistic Director Rick Adams, combines strong technique based in modern jazz and ballet with a vision of the world and of their cultural landscape. The company has a foundation which is based on dance education. The school founded in 1983 in Paris, France, stands as one of the two nationally recognised Jazz Dance Schools in France.

The French Company will grace the stage alongside the time treasured National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica led by Principal Dancers Marlon Simms and Kerry-Ann Henry under the artistic direction of Barry Moncrieffe. The Company will share select offerings from the just ended and much acclaimed 48th Season of Dance.

Special guests for this evening include the French Ambassador, Marc-Oliver Gendry. Since 1997, Artistic Expression has to its credit the much loved poetry and music series at the former Crown Plaza Hotel and later at the Hilton Hotel. Since then the company has staged many productions including presenting and hosting Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott.
