DUBBED 'The holiday's biggest family festival', Funfest is scheduled for the lush greenery of Hope Gardens in St Andrew on Sunday.

Now in its second staging, the event is slated to start at 10:00 am.

Tshani Jaja, director of FamFun Entertainment — organisers of Funfest, said that quality family time needed to be re-engineered into the lifestyle of many homes and, in some cases, strengthened.

"I love to see families having fun and spending quality time together. The event is uniquely designed to cater to all members of the family from toddlers to grandparents, as there is no age limit on fun at Funfest," she said.

Among the day's activities planned are an Xtreme sports zone, a host of rides, a water park, a nanny lounge, shopping village, football zone, magicians, and 10-year-old singing sensation Wayne J.

In keeping with the World Cup season, several screens will be strategically placed throughout the venue.
