Half Pint ready for One Love Reggae Concert
Tuesday, March 22, 2011
Fresh from his recent tour of the US East Coast as well as Hawaii, veteran reggae vocalist Half Pint will be the featured performer at the weekly One Love ReggaeConcert series in Negril.
The event, which is set to take place tonight at the Negril Escape venue, is expected to offer fans a true Half Pint experience with the multi-award winning vocalist set to deliver his usual brand of hit-laden performances.
Ever since he emerged on the scene in the early 1980's, Half Pint has consistently delivered the goods. Having released numerous albums, countless tours across the world, and a slew of hit singles, he has managed to effectively carve out an impressive niche among music lovers.
He has collaborated with the likes of Long Beach Dub All Stars, Dub Cat, US R&B singer DIA, Canadian reggae artiste Snow and Lucky Boys Confusion among others. His work has been covered by the likes of the Rolling Stones and Sublime among others.
Half Pint's work has been featured in Hollywood films including the 1989's The Mighty Quinn starring Denzel Washington, which was shot on location here in Jamaica.
Half Pint is currently working on a new album to be released later this year.
