Half Pint tours with US band

REGGAE artiste Half Pint is currently in the United States and is part of Slightly Stoopid's 2012 Unity tour.
Slightly Stoopid is an American band based in California, who describe their music as a fusion of acoustic rock and blues with reggae, hip-hop, and punk.
The tour which also features acts 311 and Soja and will run until September 6.
Half Pint, however, is scheduled to headline a European tour on August 2 at the Sudoeste Festival in Portugal. And, his tour will climax in Germany on August 15. In between, he will be performing at the Ottawa African Festival August 10.
Half Pint's manager Loyal Hayley apologised to the singer's Jamaican fans for the singer's imminent absence the Jamaica 50 celebrations.
"We wish to let Jamaica know that Half Pint is carrying the flags for the country as he has always done even though he will not be in the island for 50th anniversary celebration. He wishes Jamaica all the best," said Hayley.
Half Pint first came to public attention in the early 1980s. His first big hit Winsome was later covered by the Rolling Stones in 1986.
