Having established himself on the Atlanta party scene, sound system selector Mix Master David is moving into new territory with the International Party ‘riddim’, released last month on his MMD Entertainment LLC label.

"I got into production based on the love and passion that I have for music. As a DJ, I hear music differently and I always wanted to create my own production. I believe in growth, and when you think of a DJ you might ask yourself, ‘What is the next step as a DJ?’" he said in an interview with Splash.

The International Party is led by Beenie Man’s DoBahDae, Drink And Rave (Delly Ranx), No Chance (Cee Gee), Stress Free (Road Elf, formerly Terro 3000) and Bubble and Wine by Zambian artiste, OC.

This is not Mix Master David’s first production. He directed the singles Rum Punch by Dreggae, Standing in Love by Wayne Marshall and Esco Da Shocker’s The One.

He sees himself as a game changer.

"As a DJ, you have to constantly evolve. I’ve been a DJ here in Atlanta and I have moved from playing at reggae clubs to hip hop and pop venues," he said.

Mix Master David (real name David Grant) is 36 years old. Originally from Stony Hill, he got involved with sound systems at age 10 on Step by Step Disco.

Six years later, he was recruited by Super Saint Disco.

A former disc jock at Hot 102 FM in Kingston, Mix Master David migrated to Atlanta 16 years ago.
