Jermaine Gordon releases debut album

Friday, November 18, 2011

JERMAINE Gordon, the talented singer, writer, musician and author, is preparing to release his debut album, marking a huge step in his career.

He has just put the final touches on the project and is now preparing for the official launch. The gospel singer is hoping that after the launch it will be embraced by music lovers and increase his reach outside of Christendom.

Gordon notes that for many years, the church has been singing his songs at worship sessions, conventions and other major gatherings. As such, he has embarked on a journey to share his inspiring and spirit-filled music with the rest of the world.

The album, Lord I Surrender, combines various styles and genre of music, and Gordon has invited a few well-known gospel artistes to sing on the album.

Among the voices that can be heard on Lord I Surrender are Ryan Berry on Stubborn Man; Judith Gayle singing Our Daddy Likes It and Dawn Martin with her piece Worship ELOHIM.

The project also features dynamic singers from a newly formed choir by Gordon called the St John 10:10 Choir; which comprises individuals from across the island.

The album was recorded at several top studios in Jamaica including Grafton, Almond Productions and Harry J's, and its creation was supported by musicians who have been associated with some of the top gospel and secular artistes in Jamaica — Karl Gibson, Othneil Lewis, Lamont 'Monty' Savory, Duane (Wiya), and Jon Williams. The project was self-produced.
