TRAFFIC along Constant Spring Road was snail's place Tuesday evening as hundreds of patrons made their way to Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records club to see dancehall artiste Konshens.

Konshens was featured artiste at the venue's Behind the Screen series.

At 10:30, dozens of patrons had to be turned away as the venue was filled to its capacity.

Backed by his Subkonshus band, Konshens's 90-minute set — which started at approximately 11:20 pm — was dedicated to his female fans and his 'linkies'.

The first 15 minutes saw him delivering songs like Winner, Realest Song, Bad Gal and She's Happy (a collaboration with his older brother, Delus).

Between flirting with female fans, Konshens performed other favourites like Wine Ina D Road, Do Sum'n, Buss a Blank, Gyal A Bubble and Mad Mi.

Showing his versatility, the entertainer and his band went into a string of soca and calypso music much to the delight of the tightly packed lounge.

As he belted out the lyrics to Square One's Get the Cat and Byron Lee and the Dragonaires' Tiney Winey, the venue transformed into a dance-floor.

Also joining his performance was singer Tarrus Riley and Darrio.

Tuesday's staging of Behind the Screen, was the final one for sponsors Heineken.

The Jamaica Observer caught up with Nasha Douglas, Heineken's brand manager who said: "We were extremely happy to have partnered with the Behind the Screen series ."
