Mackeehan banks on One More Touch
ROOTS-REGGAE artiste Mackeehan is starting 2015 with the release of his latest video One More Touch.
Directed by Oral Napier and edited by Sherice Bromfield, the video is expected be released next week. The single, produced by DJ Denvo, was released earlier this month.
According to the singer, the track speaks to the intimacy shared between a loving couple.
“This track is one that everyone can relate to, as it describes the feeling of being with ‘the one’,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Mackeehan, (given name Mackeehan Solomon), entered the music business as a writer for acts including Etana and Jah Cure in 2005. As a student at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, he tried his hand in the Popular Song Competition.
“I gained a lot of on-stage experience from the Popular Song Competition. But, I never took music seriously until 2013,” he said. That year, he signed to Frankie Music Label and released Miss You Bad. He said there is no looking back.
“We’re just pushing on. We have a lot of gigs in the US coming up. Hopefully, we can top it all off with some shows in Europe,” he said.
Mackeehan’s other releases include Stay By My Side, Who’s Gonna Help Us, and Rastafari Way (ft Duane Stephens).
