Mount Vernon salutes four

FOUR artistes will receive a USA Proclamation from the city of Mount Vernon in New York on March 16.
Bunny Wailer, John Holt, Cocoa Tea and Lady Saw are recipients of the award which will be presented by Mount Vernon mayor, Ernest Davis, at this year's Linkage Awards, scheduled for the Nellie A Thornton School, in Mount Vernon.
The artistes are being honoured for their contribution to the development of reggae music.
Wailer, Holt, Cocoa Tea and Lady Saw will also receive Lifetime Achievement Awards and are to be inducted in the Linkage Hall of Fame.
Other categories at the 2013 Linkage Awards include male/female DJ of The Year, Best New Artiste, Song of The Year, Singjay of The Year and Radio DJ of The Year.
