PRODUCERS of the documentary, One People — The Celebration, are putting together a DVD they expect to be released by Christmas.

Justine Henzell, a member of the production team, told the Jamaica Observer that sales from the DVD will go to establishing a film fund.

She says getting a One People DVD out was inspired by the 'tremendous response' the 90-minute documentary has received.

Henzell and Zachary Harding are the principals behind One People, which was done to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's independence from Britain.

It highlights people of different cultures from around the world commenting about Jamaica and its global and personal impact.

Henzell and Harding worked on the project with a team that included editors Toni Blackford and Wayne Jones.

It was officially launched on August 6, Jamaica's Independence Day, at three locations: Jubilee Village at the National Arena in Kingston; the O2 Arena in London, and the Brooklyn Academy in New York City.
