Partying in the lap of LUXE
Tuesday, January 08, 2013
THOUGH the curtains have fallen on Saturday's staging of LUXE held at Sandals Beach Club in Ocho Rios, St Ann, the party is still on lips of those that attended while the taste of the newly launched Moët Ice Imperial still lingers.
"It was an event with an international flavour. We had Moët and Chandon, one of the world's largest champagne producers, and Sandals combining for an amazing occasion. There were also international disc jocks and celebrities," said Kamal Bankay, one of the LUXE's promoters.
The high-end pool party showcased the Jamaica launch of the world's first champagne created to be had with ice, Moët Ice Imperial.
Swimsuits, food, drinks were aplenty.
American disc jockey, who had exchanged wedding vows the day before, as well as locals DJ Mario C and Bankay provided the music.
"Our vision is that people will fly in for events like this and as a result will earn some tourism dollars for the country," Bankay added.
