Alkaline’s tour of the United Kingdom has been hit by a number of cancellations. The latest was last Sunday’s gig, scheduled for the Troxy in East London.

According to a statement from promoters Master-Mind Ent, the event was "cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances".

The flamboyant deejay was scheduled to play the second date of his UK tour at the Piccadilly Banqueting Surie two days earlier. However, police requested the concert be stopped amid security concerns.

On June 3, the first show of Alkaline’s New Level Unlocked tour (scheduled for Bedfordshire) was cancelled for similar reasons.

His first tour of the UK is scheduled to continue on Friday at O2 Academy in Oxford. It closes at the O2 Academy in Bristol the following day.

Alkaline is promoting his debut album New Level Unlocked which is currently number seven on the Billboard Reggae Chart.

After leaving the UK, he is booked for shows in Canada and the Caribbean.
